    GNUstep packages in distros

Sometimes it is easier to find GNUstep applications through package system of distros, such as FreeBSD and MacPorts. These applications are selected and maintained constantly in the package system. Although these packages are designed for specific platforms, main websites of these applications can be found in these packages for more information.

Horizontal main menu in GNUstep SVN

Although it is not recommended to use SVN version of GNUstep,
horizontal main menu can be activated based on GNUstep-gui ChangeLog:
Add support for horizontal main menu (as in MacOS-X) very heavily
based on the WildMenus bundle by Michael Hanni, but any errors in
the integration are entirely mine (Richard Frith-Macdonald).
Horizontal menus are activated by setting the 'NSMenuInterfaceStyle'
    user default to 'NSMacintoshInterfaceStyle'.
